OSZS Teflon FEP gas sampling bag w/PTFE straight-through valve & septum fitting, 1L, 10-pk.
The film of OSZS Teflon FEP gas sampling bags is made from fluorinated ethylene propylene (F46), specifically FEP film, with a thickness of 0.07 mm. The FEP trademark is owned by DuPont Co under the name Teflon FEP. FEP is one of the most chemically inert materials used for manufacturing gas sampling bags, functioning effectively in extreme temperatures ranging from -400°F to 400°F. Its sealing difficulty is significantly greater than that of PVF (Tedlar) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) films. In 2003, our company successfully addressed the challenge of heat sealing FEP film, producing gas sampling bags for the first time with uniform, flat seals, minimal shrinkage, and high strength.
Teflon FEP film exhibits excellent chemical resistance, withstands strong acid and alkali corrosion, is resistant to organic solvents, and has low adsorption properties, making it inert to most chemicals while demonstrating low permeability that minimizes sample loss. The water vapor permeability of Teflon FEP is 1.3 g/m²·24h·0.1 MPa, and the oxygen permeability is 2400 cc/m²·24h·0.1 MPa (these values are measured, not guaranteed).
All four sides of Teflon FEP sampling bags are heat-sealed to ensure complete chemical resistance and leak-proof operation.
The chemical resistance and corrosion resistance of Teflon FEP are among the best in fluoropolymers, with low adsorption characteristics. Teflon FEP gas sampling bags are suitable for high-precision ppm and ppb level analysis, capable of collecting and preserving various highly corrosive and chemically active gaseous and liquid samples, as well as volatile organic compounds (VOCs). They can also be used for gas sample analysis, extracting air samples from chimney exhaust systems, monitoring air quality, or calibrating instruments in the field.
The OSZS PTFE inline valve on the Tedlar PVF Gas Sampling Bag is constructed from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), featuring a self-sealing design that ensures a secure seal without any rubber components coming into contact with the gas inside the bag, thereby preventing contamination of the gas sample.
The gas inlet tube of the PTFE inline valve is oriented perpendicular to the membrane of the gas sampling bag, with an outer diameter of 6 mm. To open the valve, rotate the handle so that it is perpendicular to the membrane plane; rotate it 90 degrees to make the handle parallel to the membrane plane to close the valve.
The PTFE inline valve is designed for ease and speed of operation while providing a reliable seal. The upper end of the gas inlet tube can accommodate a sampling cap fitted with a silicone pad for needle sampling. The tube is versatile, and suitable for filling, emptying, and vacuuming operations. It is ideal for handling inorganic or organic gases that do not corrode PTFE.
Since the gas sample inside the bag does not come into contact with the silicone rubber pad, there is no risk of contamination, making the PTFE inline valve interface highly suitable for the collection and preservation of low-concentration gas samples requiring high analytical accuracy.
