OSZS Multi-layer foil gas sampling bag w/Dual side-opening stopcock valve & septum fitting, 1L, 10-pk.
The OSZS multi-layer foil gas sampling bag (Multifoil gas sampling bag) provides an economical and reliable solution for air sampling. Constructed with a composite material comprising nylon membrane (PA), aluminum foil (AL), and polyethylene film (PE), these layers are bonded using a two-component adhesive. This design is specifically engineered to safeguard light-sensitive gas samples, making it ideal for standard gas sampling and filling applications where chemical stability is crucial. These applications include oil-cracking gas, natural gas, coal bed gas, flue gas, ambient air, process reaction gases, and inorganic gases such as nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, and argon.
The material's chemically inert properties ensure that it does not interfere with or contaminate the collected air samples. It offers robust protection against light and moisture, while also providing exceptional physical strength and chemical stability. The bag is opaque, features low adsorption and permeability, and is completely airtight.
The innovative seam construction enhances durability, and the heat-sealed seams ensure a leak-proof performance.
These sampling bags are an effective and economical choice for air sampling of high-level volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and permanent gases. They are extensively used in petrochemical industries, environmental protection efforts, and scientific research institutions. However, due to the potential for background contamination, they are not recommended for sampling low PPM VOCs.
Standard sizes for the Aluminum-Foil (Multi-Layer) Gas Sampling Bags range from 0.5L to 6000L, with custom sizes and configurations available upon request.
The OSZS daul side-opening stopcock valve on the Multi-Layer Foil Gas Sampling Bag features inlets and outlets that are parallel to the film plane, with an external sampling tube having an outer diameter of 6.3 mm.
The valve includes a sampling cap with a silicone rubber septum, which is isolated from the gas inside the sampling bag by the valve mechanism. The silicone septum is exposed to the gas only when the valve is in the open position. To extract a gas sample using a sampling needle, rotate the valve handle to align it with the sampling cap, allowing the gas inside the bag to come into contact with the silicone septum. Once sampling is complete, rotate the valve handle 90 degrees to close the valve, thus isolating the gas inside the bag from the septum.
This design ensures that the silicone rubber septum does not remain in extended contact with the gas, thereby mitigating the risk of septum corrosion or sample contamination.
