OSZS Kynar PVDF gas sampling bag w/Side opening stopcock PTFE valve & septum fitting, 1L, 10-PK.
Kynar membrane, also known as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane, is branded as Kynar PVDF by Arkema. Our Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane is made from 3 mil transparent PVDF film supplied by a well-known manufacturer in the United States. PVDF is a fluorinated polymer or fluoropolymer that can be dissolved, dispersed, foamed, and melt-processed, making it widely used in industrial and construction applications.
Kynar PVDF membranes exhibit excellent chemical stability, corrosion resistance, low adsorption, and low permeability. Kynar® resin can withstand a variety of chemicals, including most acids and acid mixtures, weak bases, halogens, halogenated solvents, hydrocarbons, alcohols, salts, and oxidizers. At ambient temperatures, PVDF homopolymer typically tolerates chemicals with a pH level of up to 12.
The monomer atomic assemblies of Kynar PVDF and Tedlar PVF are very similar; however, the fluorine atom fraction in PVDF is greater than that in PVF, resulting in stronger chemical properties for PVDF. Kynar® is notably strong and tough, with a yield tensile strength at room temperature ranging from 35-55 MPa (5,000-8,000 psi) and a notched impact strength of 800-4270 kJ/m (15-80 ft-lbs/in), closely resembling the physical mechanical properties of Tedlar PVG.
Thus, when equipped with appropriate valves or fittings, our Kynar PVDF bags are suitable for the analysis of low background level gases such as VOCs and sulfur compounds. The characteristics of Kynar PVDF bags include:
PVDF bags can withstand ultraviolet light, humidity, and high temperatures.
The maximum operating temperature of the product is 73 degrees Celsius.
The product is durable and reusable.
Samples can be safely stored for up to 72 hours.
We offer PVDF gas sampling bags with stopcock straight valves, side-opening stopcock valves, PTFE straight valves, PTFE straight valves with PTFE fittings, side-opening PTFE valves, and side-opening PTFE valves with PTFE fittings. Standard sizes for the Aluminum-Foil (Multi-Layer) Gas Sampling Bags range from 0.5L to 6000L, with custom sizes and configurations available upon request.
The side-opening stopcock PTFE valve is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The straight-through PTFE valve features a self-sealing structure, ensuring a tight seal without any rubber components coming into contact with the gas inside the bag, thereby preventing contamination of the gas sample. The gas outlet of the lateral PTFE valve is parallel to the plane of the bag’s film, with an outer diameter of 6 mm. To open the valve, rotate the handle so it is perpendicular to the film plane; to close it, rotate the handle 90 degrees so it is parallel to the plane.
The lateral PTFE valve offers convenient and quick operation, with a compact design and a tightly sealed structure. Its gas outlet can be used for inflation, deflation, and vacuuming. This valve is suitable for filling inorganic or organic gases that do not corrode PTFE. Since the gas inside the bag does not come into contact with silicone rubber seals, it remains uncontaminated, making the PTFE lateral valve ideal for collecting and preserving low-concentration gas samples requiring high analytical accuracy.
The gas sampling bag with this valve has been patented.
