The OSZS Devex Multi-layer gas sampling bag is a high-performance upgrade to aluminum-plastic composite gas sampling bags. The Devex multilayer film, developed by our company in collaboration with several renowned specialists, uses advanced international film production technology to create a specialized film for gas sampling bags. This film consists of a polyurethane (PET) film, nylon (PA) film, aluminum foil (AL), and polyethylene (PE) film, all bonded with an eco-friendly adhesive. The outer layer is made of polyurethane (PET) and the inner layer is polyethylene (PE), with a thickness of 130 μm.
The Devex multilayer film is fundamentally different from aluminum-plastic composite film. It has lower adsorption, greater chemical stability, excellent mechanical strength, superior chemical and corrosion resistance, a lower permeability rate, and its gas barrier properties are 1,000 times better than those of aluminum-plastic composite film. As a specialized film for gas sampling bags, the overall performance of the Devex multilayer film surpasses that of PVDC film (marketed as Saran by Dow Chemical Inc.). The inner layer of the Devex multilayer film uses an eco-friendly adhesive, leaving no residual organic compounds such as benzene, ketones, ethers, or esters, and does not release volatile organic compounds (VOCs), ensuring that gas samples inside the bag remain uncontaminated.
The Devex gas sampling bag is suitable for environmental monitoring, odor analysis sampling, and high-precision ppm-level sampling. It can be used to contain gases with stable chemical properties and low chemical reactivity, such as petroleum cracking gas, natural gas, coalbed methane, flue gas, ambient air, process gases, and inorganic gases like nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, and argon. However, for gases with high chemical reactivity, such as sulfides, nitrogen oxides, and halogen gases, particularly at low concentrations like ppb levels, it is not recommended for use.
Standard sizes for the Devex Multi-layer gas sampling bag range from 0.5L to 6000L, with custom sizes and configurations available upon request.
The OSZS dual stopcock straight valve on the Devex Multi-layer gas sampling bag is positioned perpendicular to the film surface, with an external sampling tube featuring an outer diameter of 6 mm.
The stopcock straight valve is designed with a self-sealing mechanism, ensuring a secure seal without any rubber components coming into contact with the gas inside the collection bag, thereby eliminating the risk of sample contamination.The valve includes a sampling cap fitted with a silicone rubber septum, with the septum's exposure to the gas inside the sampling bag regulated by the valve. The silicone septum only interacts with the gas when the valve is in the open position. To extract a gas sample using a sampling needle, rotate the valve handle so that it aligns with the sampling cap. This action allows the gas inside the bag to come into contact with the silicone septum. After completing the sampling process, rotate the valve handle 90 degrees to close the valve, effectively isolating the gas inside the bag from the septum.
This design minimizes prolonged contact between the silicone rubber septum and the gas sample, reducing the risk of septum corrosion by the gas or contamination of the gas sample by the septum.
